Maybe on vacation?
Has anyone else notice the absence of CM Tony Avella from Bob Holden’s side?? He wasn’t even at the last JPCA meeting!
(But Liz Crowley was – but we will have fun with that in my next post).
Question for my readers – How much longer before Tony Avella is attack by them??
Run, Tony, Run … away!
Once you get in bed with Bob Holden – you are finished!!

Hey did Avella ever answer you email?
"Avella the missing"
He was spending so much time in Middle Village we all thought that he was going to run for City Councilman there.
As a matter of fact, he is so useless here - you can have him and we will take Anthony Como as our CM.
Actually, I'm going to have to disagree with you "bayside guy". Tony Avella has worked tirelessly in our community against these blood-sucking developers. I don't see any other CM working as hard as him. And you have to hand it to him for standing up to the mayor and the DOB for ruining out neighborhoods.
Well “whitestone girl” we can agree to disagree. I think that I pay my CM to be here in my district working for me, not run around Maspeth, Middle Village and join the Holden Lackey forces. Once he joined forces with that bunch of lunatics, he lost the credibility of all the city agencies. Just look at Maspeth - Middle Village – see how yelling and calling the officials names has made them all outcasts. CM Como spends an incredible amount of time having to repair “relationships” with the agencies to get things done. If Avella keeps it up, we will just like them.
There are better was to accomplish things, without all the personal attacks that are the earmarks of Holden, Nunziato, and the JPCA as a whole.
Well, well "bayside guy", I don't know much about the JPCA but I can say that Avella probably helps out other districts because the community asks him to. Maybe their CM doesn't lift a finger for that them. I don't know. But I do know that Avella gets frustrated with the various city agencies because of their inaction. After writing the millionth polite letter or public request to get things done and it gets ignored, what is he supposed to do? At least his office attempts to take care of complaints. Some of the other CM offices ignore every complaint that comes in. Maybe he could use some restraint at times, but I definitely understand why he says what he does. I believe he's only trying to stick up for his ditrict. And if you look at the NYC Campaign Finace Board, he really doesn't accept contributions from developers. Since many in his district have been complaining about overdevelopment, he's the best person to help. That's why many CMs ignore complaints about overdevelopment. They accept a ton of money from developers.
Just look at some of those running for mayor. They have millions compared to Tony Avella who has a fraction of that. That means he won't have to cater to that blood-sucking industry and really will fight for the little people.
